When you click on your digital badge, this will display the metadata. Metadata adds credibility to the badge and will include details of the course undertaken, the volume of learning, the date of issue, the standard the credential was issued against (for VeriSkills, this is the Human Capability Standards, five level framework).

While badges are simply digital image files, they are uniquely linked to data hosted on the Acclaim platform. This link to verified data makes them more reliable and secure than a paper-based certificate. It also eliminates the possibility of anyone claiming your credential and your associated identity.

You can easily configure your privacy settings in the Acclaim platform. You are in complete control of the information about yourself that is made public.

Using Acclaim's sharing options, earners can share their badges directly to LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook from their Acclaim account.

To share your badge:

  1. Log into your account on www.youracclaim.com
  2. Select the badge you would like to share
  3. At the top of the page, select the blue ‘Share’ button
  4. You will be brought to the ‘Share Badge’ screen where you can find different tabs directing you to connect your social media accounts and share your badge

Once your social media account is connected, just click ‘Share’ to share your digital badge.

VeriSkills will provide the details of your credential to Acclaim, who will email you with details of how to access your digital badge.

If you have an existing Acclaim account, log into that. If not, you will need to create an Acclaim account at www.youracclaim.com. You can then log in and claim your badge.

The technology used on the Acclaim Platform is based on the Open Badge Standards maintained by IMS Global. This enables you to manage, share and verify your competencies digitally.

QTAC has extensive relationships with education providers. Entry into a course is set by an in individual provider and entry requirements will vary between courses. We expect providers will use VeriSkills in assisting with entry.

Getting your program assessed is a great opportunity to show that your program is consistent with industry
standard soft skills.

Yes, you can. We encourage you to strive to improve your capabilities as you progress through your career. Included in the meta data for each digital credential are suggested activities that you can undertake to improve your skills.

As you earn more credentials, you can group them in ways that are meaningful to your audience or the subject matter they have in common.
